Honoring Public Relations Professionals: Welcoming New APR Practitioners
I’m a strong believer that Public Relations/Strategic Comm practitioners should be acknowledged for their dedication, contribution and sacrifices to place the profession as a management function in organisations they represent.
IPRM, being a national body for Public Relations in the country and an establishment that focuses on developing the industry, had a special accreditation program in late October this year. Eleven candidates participated and successfully completed the process. All of them were awarded and included in the APR (Accredited Public Relations professionals) fraternity. The APR acknowledges the candidates education, knowledge, experience and contributions to the globalised PR body of knowledge.
As a Council Member and the Assistant Director for Accreditation, I was fully involved in the process. Thank you to IPRM for giving me this opportunity. If you are interested in pursuing the accreditation program, get in touch with me. I’m happy to assit you and make the process worthwhile.
