I strongly believe that in order for us to progress and develop, individuals possessing the necessary knowledge and skills must be ready to share and coach the younger generation. With this in mind, I decided to join the academic world on a part-time basis at the beginning of my working career. I spent my first 13 years lecturing at various public universities and private institutions of higher learning. However, due to heavy work commitments, I decided to stop and concentrate on developing my career in the corporate world. Despite this, I continued to coach those in my team, hoping that they would one day be better than me and contribute to nation-building.
Now that I have decided to go on my own, I have returned to part-time lecturing. I am grateful to USM for choosing me to do what I love. My first class started a few days ago, and despite having to talk for 4 hours during Ramadan, it was indeed very satisfying. I look forward to the rest of the semester, and to my students in Strategic PR and Advances in Advertising, I am excited to make your time spent with me worthwhile and rewarding.
