“A Continued Commitment to Excellence: Judging the 2025 IABC Edmonton Capital Awards”
I’m humbled and grateful to share that I’ve been invited once again to serve as a judge for the 2025 IABC Edmonton Capital Awards — marking my third consecutive year with this respected program.
This opportunity means a great deal to me. Over the past few years, being part of the judging panel has given me a front-row seat to some of the most impressive, creative, and strategic communication work and efforts from professionals across Northern Alberta. It’s a real privilege to be involved in reviewing and recognising some of the best work happening in the field and how communication professionals overcome complex challenges with clarity, purpose and impact.
This year’s theme, “Turning Up the Volume,” is especially timely. It speaks to the growing need for communicators to rise above the noise and bring forward messages that truly resonate — messages that spark change, build trust and connect with people in real ways. That’s not easy work, and yet many in this field are doing it with passion and integrity.
As a judge, I don’t take this role lightly. Reviewing entries is more than just ticking boxes — it’s about recognising the thought process, effort, and commitment behind every campaign. It’s about understanding the ‘why’ behind the work and appreciating the outcomes that matter — whether to a client, a community, or a cause.
A heartfelt thank you to the team at IABC Edmonton for the continued trust and warm collaboration. It’s a real honour to be part of this journey with you again.
