The 2024 Kuala Lumpur International PR Conference (KLIP 2024) ended on a high note, with attendees gaining quality insights on issues such as AI, leadership, the use and impact of social media, the media landscape, engaging younger generations through storytelling, stakeholder management, and ESG.
As one of the panelists during the forum, I was attracted to the discussion on the possibility of using emotion as a theme in communicating corporate messages, especially during a crisis. This is based on the premise that humans are naturally inclined toward accepting emotionally driven messages. However, I believe that we should not use emotion to counter an emotionally charged situation, as this may lead to irrational responses and make the situation more tense.
